Does a chimp shit in the woods?

Hampton Springs - Long Island
2nd November 2019

This would be the clubs final match on Long Island as the new owners have to decided to turn Long Island into a specimen water for the bivvy divvies. A real shame as it's capable of good weights and can take enough anglers to accomodate the club.

The match was won by Richie with 77-12 caught mainly on the feeder from peg 16. He even had time to relieve himself of some fibre halfway through. Not behind his own peg though, much to the delight of Bob.

A very close second was Bill Oddie on peg 30 with 77-08 on pellet at 13 meters. His catch was mainly big arsed carp caught by a big arsed angler.

In 3rd place and on the next peg to Bill (the fliers as they're known) was Tony Wilson with 76-08, half carp and half silvers. Completing the tightest frame all year was Dave Edwards with 73-14. Dave caught by moaning all day about it being a shithole and then taking 70lb of carp on paste in the last 6 minutes. As you do in November.

The golden peg rollover was taken by everyones favourite 100 year old, Norman Smith. Despite spending most of the match walking round showing everyone his letter from the Queen, he won his section from peg 10 with 41-04 to scoop the cash.

Dennis Clayton won the section on the canal stretch from peg 2 with 10lb but still got beat by Keith.

Bill Oddie also moved into the lead for the biggest fish of the year with an 11lb 2oz brute.

1st. Richie Williams 77-12
2nd. Bill Oddie 77-08
3rd. Tony Wilson 76-08
