Ton up for Neal

Hampton Springs - Willow

Thsi month saw the club travel to old favourite Hampton on Willow pool. With a few members missing we made up the numbers with a couple of guests and had 16 in attendance.

The bridge pegs are usually the ones that produce on this lake and so it proved. On peg 26 was Dave Edwards who caught carp in his edge and weighed 147lb for the match win. A great performance and the biggest weight of the year so far in the league.

Also in the same section was a new PB for Bill Oddie with 97-08. Agonisingly short but the ton is coming.

The other side of the bridge on peg 27 was Neal Howard who also caught a new PB and his first ton plus weight with 105-10.  Well done Neal, great fishing.

The other sections were take by Frank Branscombe on peg 1 with 48-10 and Tony Wilson also on a bridge peg with 66-12 from peg 9.
