Hall Lane - Gwen's

For second August match we travelled to Hall Lane on Gwen's pool. Unusually for a canal style lake our matches here seem to be dominated by pegs in the middle of the straight and this was no exception.
Drawing Golden Peg no.10 was Bob O'Neill. A faultless display from Bob fishing maggot and groundbait in the edge resulted in a weight of 141-02, just short of his Pb but a nice little earner never the less.
In second place from peg 16 was Dave Edwards with 123-04. A net violation meant he was knocked back and lost around 10lb. Will he ever learn? In the same section and catching a new PB weight in an SAS match was Paul McColgan with 109lb. Well done Paul.
The other sections were taken by Richie Williams with 72lb, Carl Harrison with 58-08 and Tony Wilson with 103-14.
The summer knockout cup was won by Tony Wilson defeating Neal Howard in the final.
