If Carlsberg did fishing matches (they'd be just as shit as their beer)

Holmston Hall - Woodland and Moat

Well the less said about this one the better. I have no idea what happens to the fish in this lake when there's a match on it.

Most of the day was spent listening to cries of 'Shithole', 'Homo wank' and 'We should've fucked this off and all taken acid'.

Occassionally a fish was caught by Dave Edwards who then proceded to ask people if they were enjoying themselves or say things like "It's good here isn't it?" and other phrases which make him so popular.

Moat and the match overall was won by Dave with 55-04 catching carp at the island on hard pellet. Tony Wilson had a late run of carp on maggot to weigh 36lb and third on the lake was Norman Smith with 12lb. That doesn't tell the full story though as others were left with ounces after 5 hours of toil.

Over on Woodland and things were marginally better with Richie Williams winning the lake with 40lb from the Golden Peg and back up weights of 39lb for Paul Edwards and 31-12 for Paul Mc.

This will be our last match on these lakes. A shame as its a nice venue and stuffed with fish but it doesn't respond to match conditions.
